The upper left side Back Pain-causes and treatment

On the left side upper back pain, also called middle back pain, chest pain or left upper back pain occurs between the base of the neck and the top of the lumbar spine. Most of the area subject to pain in the rear upper includes Trapeze, the triangular-shaped muscles, as well as the shoulder blades.


The reason is also known as chest pain is that the top of the spine is connected with the thoracic or chest area.


Causes
In most cases, the upper back pain on the left side occurs due to wear of the muscles in the back. Sometimes a nerve in the neck or spine thoracic part gets pinched due to disc bulge or arthritis. The vertebrae get afflicted with osteoporosis or bone weakening. Becomes so weak that it cannot bear the weight of the spine. Injuries due to accidents or falls can also cause severe pain in the upper back muscles. Overuse of the muscles of the upper back and poor posture can cause strain on the joints and ligaments. Painters, who must work in awkward positions as while painting on the ceiling, often suffer from backache. Women with big breasts and sometimes need to strain to stand straight. This can also cause back pain upper. Heart problem is causing pain may also indicate at the top and back of the neck.
Treatment


In most cases, pain can be caused due to a mechanical problem in the back as strain, overwork or bad posture. Here are some of the steps that you can take to get relief from back pain on the left side in the initial phase.
Massage: Make a massage deep beyond the afflicted area for a minute or two every hour. Simply rub the tender spots extending your hand through the opposite shoulder.


Mix: Knead gently trapezius muscles as a cat is mixed with the paws. DIY or obtain your spouse's friend to do it.


Elbow of use: You can ask your friend to delicately tender area with the print of his elbow for a few seconds at a time and repeat it a few times. Pressure on a temporarily interrupts the supply of blood, followed by a sudden flow of oxygen-carrying blood. This relaxes the muscles.


Correct posture: Posture often weakens and harms the muscles that support the weight of the back. Always conscious of your posture while sitting, standing, sleep walking or working.


Sports bra: Women with big breasts should try to wear a sports bra that provides better support for the shoulders and neck.
