Chest and upper back pain usually go hand in hand for most people a headache or muscle problem in their upper back. This pain can often be accompanied by muscle spasms and pain, then you should be aware of everything that's happening. In general, there is a tense muscle or pulled into the upper back or shoulder causing this pain. If you choose to contact your doctor, you must make your doctor know about any symptoms that occur so that you can receive appropriate treatment. In many cases, you will be able to get away with rest and OTC painkillers, but never should minimize the pain that occurs only because you don't want to go to the doctor. Keep these things in mind, and you should be better able to handle higher back pains and chest.
